I was able to make a couple fashion week stops over the weekend since I was in New York. Catherine Malandrino showed some beautiful looks for Spring/Summer. A lot of geometric cutouts, crochet, embellishment and fringe in whites and pastels. I always fall in love with her stuff! Here are some looks I loved..
I went a little bauble crazy this am and just kept piling on the bling:) The middle one is from Bauble Bar, a site that I’ve already conveyed my passion for multiple times, and I’ve worn it every day this week so far.. Yes, I’m a little obsessed.

Wow, have I been bad with blogging in 2012 (so sorry!)! … The truth is, I took a mini vacay from posting as I really was away in Florida and then transitioning into a new job 🙂 Things have been pretty crazy so far in 2012. This is a BIG year for me- the wedding is only months away!
p.s. I got this bag while I was in Florida and I’ve been using it every day since. It holds literally EVERYTHING and it was on sale for only $25!!

I took these over Thanksgiving and never got to posting them. I swear, I didn’t even realize how much Gap I was wearing in these pics until now. It doesn’t surprise me though, since I’ve been finding great things from there lately. I love the hidden gold embellishment on this cardigan!

We took a long walk to brunch at Pub and Kitchen (if you go, try the coffee! These guys brew their own coffee and its awesome!) over the weekend and I just wanted to be in something casual and comfy. These boots were pretty much my staple last year and it looks like I’m bringing them back again 🙂 I adore this cape that I got at Zara in Florence, Italy when I was studying abroad there. It’s like a big blanket that you can just throw on and walk out of the house.

This past weekend we were in Baltimore for our friends wedding, which was absolutely beautiful. I was in the mood to try a maxi skirt for the rehearsal dinner and now I’m addicted! Such a versatile piece to have in your closet! Here’s one from American Apparel that’s great.

Took these photos on Saturday on the way to the National Museum of American Jewish History. We’ve been meaning to go since it opened a year ago and haven’t made it there until this weekend. It was a fun Saturday that began with a delicious brunch at Farmicia (if you go, get the grits!). I’m only a few blocks away from Independence Mall and I have yet to actually tour it (shame on me, I know) Hopefully I’ll get around to it soon!

It was a bit too dark out to take photos but I tried to make it work anyway (not THAT bad, right?). I’ve been wanting to try a midi skirt for a while now, but didn’t quite find one that worked until a recent trip to Urban Outfitters. I love the mauve/rose color of this one. Great for fall and even great with a pair of oxford flats if you want to be a little more casual.
leather and tweed jacket, tee, skinnies and clutch all from Gap
How’s this for an all Gap outfit?? I saw this jacket on the sale rack at the Gap and immediately had to have it. The tweed and leather combo is going to become an instant staple in my fall wardrobe. During my shopping trip, I also found some other great things that I’ll be sure to share soon!
Love these tasseled oxfords from Dolce Vita. I’ll definitely be wearing them a lot this season with skirts, dresses, and jeans. During the day, I’m really not a high-heel person, so these are perfect to complete my day look and still look nice without the heels.
