It happens twice a year. The New York City luxury shopping landmark, Henri Bendel, holds a casting call for new and emerging designers for its Open-See contest. This summer, Henri Bendel partnered with Swarovski Elements for the very first online Open-See. Now, designers across the country are able to participate in the legendary competition. The winning design will be sold in Henri Bendel stores.
I happen to know the talented designer of the below tote and had a chance to get a glimpse into the vision she had for this design. She wanted to design a chic/stylish, yet affordable bag that’s very “New York”. This is a custom illustration, and the idea is that if chosen, the customer would have a choice of city (she’s even designed Paris and London bags!) that would best suit their individual style and taste.
